Question: My saw blade seems to gum up when I cut Gridcore panels. What is the problem?
Answer: Glue in the glue line beteween the panels can build up on a saw face and probably the source of the "gum" on your saw blade. Use a carbide tipped blade (24 teeth) and move the material at slightly slower speeds through the saw. A little saw lubricant will also improve performance.
Question: What is the best glue to use?
Answer: Most adhesives will work extremely well with Gridcore panels. The material will bond securely to itself as well as to wood, fiber and plastic materials. Try contact cement, epoxy and urethane adhesives. When using PVAs it is good to clamp the joint. If you are veneering or laminating to Gridcore panels in a hot press, request panels with heat resistant core adhesives.
